Tolly's Birthday - January 20, 2007 Port Ludlow Marina .

In the past, the club has honored Tolly for his birthday at a special party at the Seattle Yacht Club’s Elliot Bay Outstation.  Unfortunately, traveling to Seattle has become very difficult for Tolly these days, so the club is going to do something a little different.  This year, the club will take the party to Tolly to help him celebrate his 96th birthdayAll are invited to journey to Port Ludlow to join Tolly for a lunch celebration.  Given the time of year, this may be a “land cruise” for most, but a good time nonetheless!  Tolly considers us all “family” and enjoys the opportunity to visit with the people who love the boats he built.

Annual South Sound Mini Cruise - March 30-31, 2007
Arabella’s Landing, Gig Harbor

This popular annual event is in its ninth year! This is a perfect shake down cruise and wonderful opportunity to cruise and get together in the south sound. Even if you don’t feel like venturing to Gig Harbor by boat, don’t feel like you’re left out! Many members “cruise” by car and have a great time with the rest of the gang! The club has reserved 20 slips, and reservations are required. To make reservations, contact Arabella’s Landing directly at (253)851-1793. Be on the lookout for the February newsletter for updated information.

Annual Mid Sound Mini Cruise  - April 27-29, 2007
Port Ludlow Marina.

The fifth annual Port Ludlow mini cruise should prove to be as popular and as much fun the prior years. This event is one of the club’s two trips to visit with Tolly. This is another popular “land cruise” for many. The highlight of the weekend is lunch with Tolly the Harbormaster Restaurant where everyone enjoys visiting with the guest of honor. You definitely don’t want to miss the ever-popular dinghy cocktail cruise to the inner bay. This is a great weekend in a beautiful setting. Check out the February newsletter for more information.

Seattle Yacht Club OPENING DAY PARADE 2007 - May 4, 2007

The club has proudly participated in this time-honored Northwest boating tradition for the past two years. In 2005, the first year participating, the club was represented by 21 boats of varied size and years, and claimed first place in the “Spirit” category. We are offered prized moorage space on SYC’s “Zero Dock”, right in the middle of the action. Considering there is no charge for moorage at SYC for this event and activities going on throughout “opening day week”, this is an opportunity you won’t want to miss! Arrive early and make a trip out of it!!

20th Annual Rendezvous - June 21-24,2007 - Roche Harbor Marina
”Pirates of the San Juans”

The 2006 event was a huge hit with nearly 100 boats in attendance for “Rockin’ & Rollin’ at Roche: The Sixties revisited”. There was no shortage of poodle skirts and lettermen’s sweaters as attendees rocked the weekend away in style.

The 2007 event will prove to be just as much fun with some great new activities planned as well as the old favorites! This year’s theme. “Pirates of the San Juans” will be loads of fun for all. Watch for more information in the club newsletter and website.

If you’re new to boating in the northwest or to the club, Yachting Magazine rates Roche Harbor Marina among the best in North America and the Bahamas. Roche is compared to the likes of, Atlantis in Nassau, Bahamas, Grand Bay Hotel and Marina in Bahia Navidad, Mexico, or Marina Del Rey in California. The Roche Harbor management including Brent, Kevin & Troy work side by side with the Bridge our entire time at Roche to help make our annual visit memorable, worry free and most of all FUN!!!
See the May newsletter for more information, including registration form and schedule of events!

This is “THE EVENT” of every year for the club! A huge part of the bridge’s efforts and the club’s budget aims for this our 20th year annual event. You DON'T want to miss it!!!!
