Join us for a variety of games, activities and seminars for participants of all ages!
Please see the Rendezvous schedule for most current dates and times. Every effort will be made to update this FAQ but the event schedule takes precedent.
New for 2022!
Open Jam Session: Grab your Jing-Tinglers, Floo-Floobers, Tah-Tinkers or other favourite instruments for a casual evening of music and merriment. Join us in the main tent at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday to either participate or make requests and sing along.
Tollycraft Swap Meet: Do you have some boating items, books, DVDs, etc. taking up valuable space on your Tolly or in your garage? Then bring them to our Tollycraft Swap Meet on Friday from 9:30 a.m. – 11 a.m. near the main tent.
All items must be clearly labeled with your name and your Tolly’s. Please remove any remaining items promptly at 11 a.m. (if we have to return them, we might include more than you brought).
Games
Chip & Sip Golf Game: Back by popular demand is the Chip and Sip golf “tournament”. Join us behind the main tent on Thursday at 3 p.m. to chip your way to golfing glory!
Kids Games: Seuss themed games for the younger members are scheduled for Thursday at 3 p.m. and Saturday at 1 p.m. Meet us at the main tent for all the fun.
Bingo: A crowd favourite, join us in the main tent on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. to see if you will be the first to yell Bingo (and make enemies of everyone needing just one more number).
Activities & Seminars
Power Squadron Coast Guard Inspections: Increase your peace of mind that your Tollycraft is ready for the summer with a Power Squadron Coast Guard seal of approval. Sign up begins on Thursday at the check-in table with inspections taking place on Friday and Saturday.
Boat Open House: The annual Boat Open House takes place on Thursday from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. Visit Tollycrafts that catch your eye and spend a few minutes getting to know the owners and their Tollycraft.
Fire Extinguisher Service by Secure Fire Protection: If your Tolly’s fire extinguishers are due for a check-up, then bring them down to the small tent on Friday from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. for service by Secure Fire Protection. We strongly encourage you to come early as this is popular service.
Insurance Dos and Don’ts: Join us in the main tent on Thursday at 1 p.m. when Tollyclub member and sponsor Mary Lafleur (Woman to Blame) leads a seminar on what to do (and maybe more importantly) what not to do regarding your Tolly’s insurance.
Customize Your Event T-Shirt: Join Tollyclub member Susan Rebello (Shanti’) on Friday at 10:30 a.m. as she shows us how to make our event t-shirts (or other t-shirt) to be even more fabulous! A great activity for all ages. Be sure to bring a pair of scissors for everyone taking part from your Tolly!
US Customs and Border Patrol Presentation: Got questions about crossing the US border? Join us in main tent on Friday at 1:30 p.m. when a representative from the Friday Harbor CBP will answer all of your questions.
Seuss-A-Palooza Pet Parade: All pets (with their humans) are welcome to take part in our Pet Parade on Friday at 3 p.m. outside the main tent. Tollyclub celebrities judge the pets based on the following criteria:
- Theme: How well the Seussical theme is portrayed by the pet
- Presentation: The pet and human’s presentation on the red carpet
- Creativity: Incorporation of creativity into the theme representation and/or presentation
- Overall Impression
The pets with the three highest overall scores receive prizes.
Prior to the pet parade, complete the pet information form (included in your welcome package) to hand to the MC during the Pet Parade.
First Aid Just for You and Your Tolly: Tollycraft Boating Club members and paramedics / fire fighters Steve Monrad (Blackbird) and Travis Bryan (DevilDawg) host this First Aid Seminar designed with boaters in mind. Join us in the main tent on Saturday at 11:30 a.m. and bring your Tolly’s first aid kit with you. And if your Tolly’s first aid kit needs a refresh, we’ll be selling first responder and Tollycraft owner approved packages.
From There to Here, From Here to There Dinghy Run: On Saturday at 3 p.m. we’ll go from here to there and from there to here in our dinghies for one of our newest traditions – the Dinghy Run! We’ll depart our dock at Roche Harbor and head for this year’s destination for a Tollycraft salute and cheers!
Group Photo
Join us in front of the Hotel de Haro on Saturday evening at approximately 8 p.m. for a group photo. This is our final group event for the Rendezvous and a wonderful memento of the weekend.
Please note that alcohol is NOT allowed on the Roche Harbor grounds.
Roche Harbor Colors
Beginning 10 minutes before sunset, the Roche Harbor colors ceremony is a special event each night during the Tollycraft Boating Club Rendezvous.
Accompanied by music, the Roche Harbor staff retire the flags of the Tollycraft Boating Club, Roche Harbor, Washington state, Great Britain, Canada and the United States. Rendezvous participants are encouraged to take part, either on the lawn by the flags or on their Tollys.
In honour of our Canadian Commodore, everyone is asked to be familiar with O Canada (lyrics, music and more)! And she’s good with just knowing it in English but bonus points for knowing the bilingual version.
To thank-you for reading this rather long FAQ, enter a draw for $20 at the Rendezvous Tollyclub Store by sending an email to commodore@tollyclub.com with O Canada and your name in the subject line. Deadline May 21, 2022. One entry per person – it doesn’t matter how many times you read this FAQ or how many email addresses you have. Winner to be announced at the Rendezvous.
